Blue Monday Donations for Clients in Need

A message from the Vice Chair of OPSEU’s Mental Health and Addictions Division:

OPSEU Mental Health and Addictions Division is hoping that you will participate in our Blue Monday campaign event for January 20, 2020 and host the donations in your local/region.

Blue Monday flyer MHD fillable to email or post on social media to invite your members to donate.  Our hope is that you will gather knitted/crocheted or purchased blue hats, mittens, scarves and socks and then choose an organization/shelter locally that gives back to those in need/homeless.  All items that you collect can then be donated on Blue Monday January 20, 2020.  We hope that you will take photos and maybe even invite media when donating. This campaignis to raise awareness about the crisis in mental health, addictions and affordable housing while also giving back to individuals in need
to make a difference to start off 2020.  (See attached e-flyer for more information)
Let’s all make a difference with a touch of warmth given to those in need while raising awareness in all of our locals and regions.

Thanks for considering participation in this campaign.  We hope it happens in each of our regions across the province with locals opting to host the event.

All of our best to each of you for the holidays and the New Year.

In Solidarity,
Tischa Forster
